<Abstract>

Digital transformation is increasingly treated as a strategic and organizational phenomenon rather than a discrete information-technology project. This analytical review examines how digital transformation can shape organizational innovation and develops a context-sensitive framework for companies listed on the Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE). The review follows a structured narrative approach, synthesizing traceable peer-reviewed research on digital transformation, digital business strategy, dynamic capabilities, digital innovation, organizational innovation, and organizational change. Rather than treating technology investment as a direct cause of innovation, the synthesis identifies a mediated pathway in which digital infrastructure, data and analytics, digital strategy, leadership, human capital, and platform connectivity create value when they are converted into organizational capabilities such as sensing, learning, agility, knowledge integration, cross-functional collaboration, and experimentation. These capabilities can support product and service innovation, process innovation, managerial innovation, and business-model innovation. For listed companies, however, the strength of these relationships is conditioned by governance, disclosure and accountability requirements, data quality and cybersecurity, institutional fit, legacy systems, and organizational inertia. The review therefore proposes that digital transformation should be evaluated as a portfolio of organizational capabilities and governance arrangements rather than by technology adoption alone. For TSE-listed firms, the main implication is that digital investment is most likely to contribute to innovation when technological resources are aligned with strategy, human capabilities, decision rights, and transparent governance. The paper concludes with managerial priorities and a research agenda for empirical testing in the Iranian capital-market context.
</Abstract>
